Excalibur Technology is Born

Excalibur Technology Corporation is born. Working out of Wheaton, IL, the company begins building custom PCs and helping small businesses troubleshoot PC problems.

Excalibur Moves to Barrington

Excalibur moves from Wheaton, IL, to 410 E. Main St. in Barrington, IL.

2002
Excalibur Moves Again

Due to rapid growth, Excalibur moves its corporate office to 28144 W. Industrial Avenue, Suite 118, in Barrington, IL.

2005
Data Center Launches
Excalibur opens its first data center in Lake in the Hills, IL, and begins providing clients secure data center services.
2006
Excalibur Expands

Excalibur purchases The Networks – a local IT company – and absorbs its staff.

Excalibur moves its corporate office to 700 Fox Glen Ct. in Barrington, IL.

2007
Excalibur Becomes an MSP
Excalibur transitions from an IT support company to an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) by unveiling its first full-service IT support and maintenance offerings.
2008
Excalibur Acquires K-Tech

Excalibur purchases another local IT company, K-Tech, and absorbs its staff.

2010
Florida Office Opens

Excalibur expands its operations and opens a second corporate office, located in Tampa Bay, FL.

Excalibur is Sold

Excalibur Technology Corporation is sold to Thomas Rissman, an entrepreneur with years of experience leading businesses in IT and other industries.

ExcalTech moves its data center operations from Lake in the Hills, IL, to an expanded facility in Kenosha, WI, significantly increasing performance, security, and scalability.

Excalibur Becomes ExcalTech

Excalibur Technology is rebranded as ExcalTech, ushering in a new era of growth.

A serial entrepreneur, Tom is building ExcalTech’s national footprint and taking its already first-class client experience to the next level. Tom enjoys experimenting with new technologies, traveling and spending time with his family.
